Duckiebot on patrol
Come by to start on a new project or learn some thing new this summer! You could learn how to program environmental sensors, use the computers for high performance GIS or image processing or test out the AR Sandbox interface. There are lots of options and it could be a good way to build on skills, collect data, or practice some creative problem solving skills before the semester starts again.
Check out our calendar and come by during Open Access Hours or email mmandrew@umn.edu for an appointment outside of those hours. Hope to see you there!
Are you a map nerd? Or just someone who really admires the clean symbology of an old road map? Maybe you want to see what the USGS cartography looked like in the 1960s? Check out our collection of free maps retired from the Map Library! Located across the hall from the GeoCommons on the fourth floor of Blegen Hall. Take one and feel free to leave some. The available maps change all the time.
A new special topics course (GEOG 5900) taught by Eric Shook in the GeoCommons.
We hope to have exciting news and activities that help reshape our thinking about space, place, and the world.
"We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them."
